Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the fact that the Russian military committed a war crime that caused the death of people (part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As a result of a combined attack on Kyiv with the use of missiles and drones on August 28, 2025, as of 9.30 in the morning, 10 dead, including one child. More than 30 injured are also known, including four children and a teenager.

Thus, part of a 5-story building was destroyed in the Darnytskyi district, and a rescue operation is currently underway. They are looking for people under the rubble.

Windows in high-rise buildings were also broken and cars were damaged. Private houses were damaged. In general, the consequences of the morning attack are recorded in eight districts of the capital - Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomyanskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Svyatoshynskyi and Desnyanskyi districts.

The exact number of dead and injured is being established.

Rescuers and law enforcement officers work at the sites of destruction and record the consequences of another war crime of the Russian military.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by investigators of the Main Department of State Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
