Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General defended in the Supreme Court the sentence of a resident of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, who was convicted of aiding the aggressor state (part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The man was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property. In addition, he is prohibited from holding positions in state authorities, local self-government, and state-owned railway enterprises for 12 years.

The criminal voluntarily held the position of head of the so-called "Fuel and Oil Products Base" of the occupying "state enterprise" on the railway from July to September 2022. 

He transferred 122 thousand liters of diesel fuel, which belonged to JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," to the occupiers. The enemy used the fuel for transporting personnel, military equipment, and ammunition of the armed formations of the Russian Federation.

The Cassation Criminal Court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments. 

The convicted person partially admitted his guilt. He is currently serving the sentence imposed by the court.
