Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko held a meeting with the representatives of the EU Working Group on Eastern Europe and Central Asia
On June 7, 2017, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met the representatives of the EU Working Group on Eastern Europe and Central Asia headed by its head Carolyn Vino in the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Yurii Lutsenko noted the assistance provided by the EU party to the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine and informed about the reforming state of the prosecutor's offices of Ukraine, the results of the agency's work in the fight against organized crime and corruption, including in criminal proceedings against former high-ranking officials.
The EU party approvingly noted the active work of the agency on the above issues.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine is not overlooked for such important directions of reformation of the prosecutor's offices as the establishment and maintenance of the functioning of the prosecutor's self-government bodies, as well as the functions of the investigation final deprivation by the prosecutor's office.
Summing up the meeting, the parties noticed its constructive nature and expressed their hopes for future cooperation.
